The Red Menace - 1975 2002 - fresh off the flatbed after 3 years of storage. Although it doesn't look too bad, the ventilation was greatly enhanced in the trunk, not to mention through the floor pans and rocker panels. Being a BMW, after a battery change it started and ran fairly well considering the gas was at least 3 years old. Stopping was more amusing. The picture below shows what the rotors and calipers looked like - totally worn pads and frozen calipers.
Yeah, the brakes look horrid, but the rears worked, sort of. It didn't really matter, the floorboards were like the trunk, so dragging the feet would have stopped the car. The shocks were less than functional - except as extra links to keep the suspension from falling off...
